A CATASTROPHIC BLAST ROCKS THE ENTERPRISE...

   [ Troi on the bridge, the ship is shaking; crew members are thrown back,
     onto the floor;  There is an explosion from inside a bulkhead ]

   [ Bev and Geordi in a cargo bay, with drums of hazardous materials.
     The ship is rocked, and the containers are scattered ]

   Riker:  I think we should assume the worst, 
           that everyone on the bridge is dead.

EVERY MAN, WOMAN, AND CHILD IS IN DANGER!  

   [ Troi and O'Brien on the bridge, checking an injured female ensign;
     Bev on the floor in the cargo bay, trying to get up;  Children
     in the turbolift with Picard being thrown about ]

   [ Keiko and Worf, in ten forward ]

  Keiko (to Worf):  I'm going into labor.

...AND EVERYONE MUST RISK THE IMPOSSIBLE TO SURVIVE.

   [ Picard climbing up a ladder in a turbolift shaft ]

   [ Data standing in a chamber with large bolts of energy coursing
     through his body;  His chest area is glowing white hot ]

  Riker:  DATA!

   [ Picard holding onto the ladder in the turbolift shaft, 
     with the children;  The turbolift car falls beneath them ]

  Picard:  The lift is falling.  Hang on!

  Children:  <screams>

   [ On the bridge: O'Brien is at Tactical, Troi is by his side ]

  Ensign:  All decks brace for impact.

   [ Bev and Geordi holding on, while the cargo bay decompresses;
     Keiko giving birth in ten forward; Riker turns over Data's body,
     revealing a burned out chest area ]

DEADLINE TO DISASTER, ON AN ALL NEW EPISODE OF STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION.
