   [ Enterprise Shuttlecraft _MAGELLAN_ shown flying throgh space ]

   [ Riker is piloting, with Soren seated next to him; electrical
     discharges are visible along one of the engine pods ]

  Riker:  We've lost an engine.

...TEAMS RIKER WITH A MYSTERIOUS OUTCAST...

   [ Riker and Soren talking together ]

  Soren:  I find you attractive.

   [ Outside in garden area, they kiss ]

...AND LEADS TO A FORBIDDEN AFFAIR.

   [ Riker in an office talking to a planetary official ]

  Riker:  Where is Soren?

  Krite:  In custody.

NOW, A CLASH BETWEEN TWO CULTURES...

   [ After a hearing, Soren is led out by two guards as Riker watches ]

  Riker:  Don't do this.  Soren!

...FORCES RIKER TO SACRIFICE HIS CAREER.

   [ outside, Riker fights with two guards ]

   [ Picard and Riker in the Ready Room; Picard gazes out his window ]

  Riker:  I can't just leave her there.  
          They'll give her these psychotectic treatments.
          I have to help her.

   [ The Shuttle with Riker and Soren onboard explodes ]
