 A CLASH BETWEEN GENERATIONS...

   [ Worf looking annoyed; Lwaxana talking closely with Alexander ]

  Alexander:  I hate him.

...TRIGGERS AN ESCAPE INTO FANTASY.

   [ Alexander and Lwaxana enter the Holodeck; exterior
     surroundings with several strange humanoids present ]

  Lwaxana:  My little warrior wants to see more out of 
            life than just fighting, eh?

BUT A PARASITE INVADES THE ENTERPRISE...

   [ Data and Geordi watch as a particulate cloud moves
     across an exposed bank of isolinear chips ]

   [ Picard and Riker on the bridge ]

  Riker:  Is it big enough to cause a threat?

   [ The Enterprise is shaken ]

   [ Lwaxana hugs Alexander; grid walls show through on the Holodeck ]

...AND WORF AND HIS SON ARE TRAPPED IN IT'S PATH OF DESTRUCTION.

   [ Picard talking on the bridge ]

  Picard:  There won't be a ship left to reach the Pelloris Field.

LIFE SIGNS ARE FAILING!

   [ A particulate cloud descends on the Enterprise as it moves
     through a field of small asteroids orbiting a blue planet ]

   [ In a crew cabin, Troi turns and looks astonished ]

   [ Geordi studying a panel in Engineering ]

  Geordi:  Primary power systems are going down.

   [ The Enterprise fires an orange energy bolt from the
     main deflector; an asteroid is hit and destroyed ]

...ON AN ALL NEW EPISODE OF STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION.


Short version:

  The crew struggles to stop a parasite from devouring it's way
